We build commercial operating systems for professional firms: institutional knowledge that is retrievable rather than recalled, relationships that survive the people who made them, and standing commercial visibility for the people running the firm. Every implementation is designed around how the firm already works.
The underlying problem is the same everywhere. What it costs, and what fixing it is worth, differs entirely by firm type — so the engagement does too.
Origination sits in individual bankers' heads and inboxes. Buyer lists, comparables and prior conversations behind a live mandate get rebuilt every time a process starts, so mandates are pitched on a partial view of the firm's own history.
Proprietary sourcing depends on which partner met a founder. Intermediary conversations, passed deals and prior thesis work scatter across notes — so the firm re-meets companies it already declined, without knowing it.
Sponsor coverage and borrower history live with individual originators, and deployment pace is reported rather than visible. Credit committee sees a snapshot instead of the standing picture.
Direct and co-investment opportunities arrive through personal networks, and the record of what was seen, passed and why lives in the principals' memory rather than in the institution.
Matter experience, precedent and client history are held by the partners who ran them. Client development depends on individual recall, and cross-practice opportunities inside existing clients never surface.
Client knowledge sits with the engagement partner and advisory opportunities inside the existing portfolio are spotted informally — so revenue that already exists in the client base is never surfaced.
Market maps, candidate history and client relationships are consultant-owned. The firm re-researches markets it has already mapped, and warm relationships lapse when attention moves.
Investor and owner relationships, prior conversations and evidence are held by individual brokers, and pipeline visibility depends on people updating a system nobody enjoys updating.
Practice knowledge is rebuilt per engagement and proposals are assembled from scratch under time pressure. Senior time goes into producing documents rather than exercising judgement.
Modules, not a product. Each engagement takes only what the firm's operating model genuinely needs — a system carrying components nobody asked for is a system nobody adopts.
Who the firm knows, through whom, how warm, and what has been discussed — held institutionally rather than personally.
Prior work, precedent and decision rationale made retrievable at the point of decision, not archived where nobody looks.
Origination that surfaces the moment something changes, instead of waiting for someone to remember to check.
Shortens the path from opportunity to document by starting from everything the firm has already produced.
A standing commercial picture for partners and committees — not a deck assembled by hand the night before.
Structured research capacity that compounds across engagements rather than being repeated per matter.
A credible, controlled surface for clients, with strict separation between accounts.
Signals that a relationship is cooling, a mandate is stalling, or an opportunity window has opened.
Commercial performance measured continuously and consistently, in the firm's own definitions.
It is a discovery conversation, not a pitch. We are trying to find out whether there is anything here worth building, and these are the questions that decide it.
How is new business actually originated today — and by whom?
Where does institutional knowledge live, and what happens to it when someone leaves?
How much of a pitch or proposal is genuinely new, rather than reassembled?
How do partners know the commercial position without asking someone to prepare it?
Where do opportunities quietly disappear, and would anyone notice?
What should never be systematised, because judgement is the point?
If the questions above are ones you have asked internally without a satisfying answer, that is usually a good reason to talk. If they are already solved in your firm, we will establish that quickly and stop wasting your time.
